obscure
When used as an impermeable layer, resin creates and interesting physical distance between layers, creating depth and in some case allowing you to see around the physical edges of the paint. Resin also allows me to isolate otherwise incompatible materials, creating new illusions and deceptions.
This piece is from just before Christmas 2019. Within it, there is an uncertainty about what is happening. This indeterminate state is the subject and my primary interest in the landscape.
